Concolor fir Double-M Recommended
Also known as white fir, this long-needled fir has round 1.5” to 2.5” long silvery-blue needles singly attached to the branches in an upright manner. This layered, slightly wild growing, tree has very good to excellent needle retention. The strong citrus and somewhat soapy scent is unique to this tree.
Canaan Fir Double-M Recommended
Canaan fir also called West Virginia Balsam Fir is a genetic cross of the northern balsam fir from the northern United States and Canada and the Fraser balsam fir from the southeastern United States. The blue-green, flatish needles are a silvery color on the underside of the branches. Its fragrance is sweet and spicy like balsam and Fraser fir. Its soft lacing branches are sturdy enough to support ornaments of many sizes. This variety is grown in Ohio for its tolerance to our heavier clay based soils. Needle retention is very good for this water loving tree.
Douglas Fir
These soft needles are dark green to blue green in color and are approximately 1 to 1 ½ in. in length. Douglas-fir needles radiate in all directions from the branch. When crushed, these needles have a sweet Citrus fragrance. They are one of the top major Christmas tree species in the U.S.
White Pine Double-M Recommended
Available in 2025
Leaves (needles) are soft, flexible and bluish-green to silver green in color and are regularly arranged in bundles of five. Needles are 2 1/2-5 inches long and are usually shed at the end of the second growing season. White pine has very little aroma, but, conversely, is reported to result in fewer allergic reactions than do some of the more aromatic species.
Norway Spruce
Ask about availability. We do not sell Norway Spruce as your indoor Christmas Tree due to poor needle retention. If You are displaying the tree outside ask us about selecting a Norway Spruce. In Ohio it is considered an endemic (or naturally occurring) tree. The shiny dark green needles of this spruce are what makes it the traditional Christmas tree. Its short .50” to.75” needles are attached to the branches singly. This densely branched tree has a traditional fragrance and sturdy branches for ornaments. Most often used as a landscaping tree today, it can still be found as a Christmas tree at some plantations.

TREE FACT : Real Trees are a renewable, recyclable resource
While they're growing, Real Christmas Trees support life by absorbing carbon dioxide and other gases and emitting fresh oxygen.
The farms that grow Christmas Trees stabilize the soil, protect water supplies, and provied refuge for wildlife while creating scenic green belts. Often Christmas trees are grown on soil that doesn't support other crops.
Real Christmas Trees Are Renewable.
Real Christmas Trees are grown on farms just like any other crop. To ensure a constant supply, Christmas Tree growers plant one to three new seedlings for every tree they harvest. On the other hand, artificial trees are a petroleum-based product manufactured primarily in Chinese factories. The average family uses an artificial tree for only six to nine years before throwing it away, where it will remain in a landfill for centuries after disposal.
